Peak Physique is excited to offer a high intensity cross training system like no other. It is the most unique group circuit training program available today because it encompasses all aspects of fitness. It combines cardio conditioning with functional strength training that is appropriate for all fitness levels.
The Cross-Circuit Group Fitness Training program is unique in how it is structured. Most fitness classes are built around a single fitness concept such as cardio, body pump, or spinning. Cross-Circuit Fitness is a combination of cross training, circuit training, and functional training. Functional training refers to training movement patterns instead of isolated muscle groups. All aspects of fitness will be addressed in these cross circuits, and the routines will be anything but routine because they will always change! Medicine balls, stability balls, bands, dumbbell training, agility training, power training, body weight training, and boxing will all be used to enhance your fitness experience. Best of all, this program is suitable for all fitness levels (we have participants from 8 years up to 70) and ages because the exercises and intensity are scaleable. Very suitable and enjoyable as family fitness event.
The format of the Cross-Circuit Group Fitness Training program will include 4-6 fitness stations. Each of these stations will be in separate rooms at Peak Physique (and in the back parking lot during spring/summer time). There will be a trainer at each station who will conduct and explain the different exercises to be performed. The format of the circuit will be 30 seconds of exercise followed by 10-12 seconds of rest. During this rest period, participants will switch exercises. After 10 minutes at a fitness station, an air horn will sound, signaling a transition to the next station.
The Cross-Circuit Group Fitness Training program will last one hour. There will be a 10-minute dynamic warm-up led by one of the trainers prior to each session.
